Nearby are the famed wine regions of Orvieto and Frascati where you can sip the finest white wines at dirt cheap prices to the backdrop of the Alban Hills and the breathtaking sight of the Eternal City from afar.
Nearer the coast there's Ostia Antica Archaeological park, which features excavations from the Etruscan period - preceding the Roman Empire. Many people believe this undiscovered treasure as one of Rome's finest sights. A little further on is the west coast of Italy and the Mediterranean Sea. |
